Aggressiveness is seen in the willingness to take surprisingly bold risks. This is unafraid, unflinching, valiant, courageous bravery. In one word audacity. Every now and then your faith needs a dose of audacity. This is a risk taking that is discourteous, cheeky, somewhat rude and almost reckless. You can’t be aggressive without audacity. You can’t be unleashed without being aggressive. Stop playing nice and trying to impress everyone you know. Don’t try to fit into the crowd. You are one of kind. A blessed child of Zion that dances to the tune of the Spirit and nothing else. You have a “kick, a roar, a bite” inside. Now let it out as you aggressively pursue the destiny of God for you.
SCRIPTURE READING: MATHEW 14:25-33
Shortly before dawn Jesus came to them, walking on the sea. When the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified and cried out, “It’s a ghost!” And they screamed in terror. “Have courage!” Jesus immediately told them. “It’s me. Stop being afraid!” Peter answered him, “Lord, if it’s you, order me to come to you on the water.” Jesus said, “Come on!” So Peter got down out of the boat, started walking on the water, and came to Jesus. But when he noticed the strong wind, he was frightened. As he began to sink, he shouted, “Lord, save me!” At once Jesus reached out his hand, caught him, and asked him, “You who have so little faith, why did you doubt?” As they got into the boat, the wind stopped blowing. Then the men in the boat began to worship Jesus, saying, “You certainly are the Son of God!”
Dear God, you are the source of my inspiration and revelation. Given an audacity that will despise evil and esteem your kingdom. May I aggressively go beyond myself into the realms of God where all things are possible. You are able to do exceedingly, abundantly in my life today. So I take step of faith today in Jesus’ name. Amen.
