Ours is a convenience generation where we do what feels convenient. The bestselling products and services are convenient. The microwave is convenient. Just like the smart phone, the internet, the computer and most of what we enjoy today. There is nothing wrong with convenience until it begins to negatively affect our dedication. There are times we must be dedicated to a matter even when it’s not convenient. Dedication keeps you going even when you have no reason, no strength or justification. Dedication separate’s you from the crowd that is running after convenience. Chose to know what matters to you and dedicate yourself to it through the many seasons of life. Dedicate yourself to God, your family, your destiny, your calling and your wellbeing. Don’t just do what is easy and quick but rather what is right. Dedicate yourself to that job, that church and that vision. Refuse to be easily swayed back and forth by dedicating yourself to what you believe.
SCRIPTURE READING: JOSHUA 1:5-6
There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.
Dear God, thank you for grace to do all things in Christ Jesus. Create in me a dedicated individual that will not be driven by convenience but by faith. I dedicate my ways to you that I may be an instrument of your glory. In Jesus’ name. Amen
