Not everyone is going to be happy with your success. You will make enemies, naysayers and competition. There will be times you have to protect the promise of God in your life. The devil will try to kill your destiny even before it is born. That is why you must protect the promise of God in your life with wisdom, skill and style. Yes you may have to take a few bumps and knocks along the way. As long as the promise in your life is worth anything, you will have to protect it from the onslaught of hell. Protect the promise by keeping it secret, keep it out of the limelight before its time, prayerfully cover it at all times and ensure that the right people surround it. Protect the promise.
SCRIPTURE READING: 1 CORINTHIANS 9:25-27
Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.
Dear God, I don’t know everything. But I am glad I have you who knows everything. Quicken me to protect the promises you have given me today. Open my heart and give me strength, wisdom and grace to protect your word and promise at whatever cost. In Jesus’ name. Amen
