People are generally obsessed with what they don’t have. We labour night and day to attain that particular item we don’t have. Listening to people, they strive to attain something they don’t have. However, chasing what you don’t have can be frustrating and futile, but what you have will give you what you don’t have. What are your gifts, abilities, qualifications and experiences? Understanding and utilizing these will give you what you don’t have. So instead of being consumed by what you don’t have, take time to nurture what you have and it will deliver what you don’t have. Sadly most people have no idea what they have. They are always looking the other side of the fence they can’t see what they have right where they are. The song you have will give you the car you don’t have. Understand the value of what you have and put it to work in your life till it gives you what you don’t have. The widow in 2 Kings 4:1-7 didn’t have the money to pay her dues. But the prophet turned her attention to the little oil that she had and showed her how to increase it. She then sold the oil to get the money she needed to pay her loans and live her life. What you have will take you everywhere you need to go. What do you have? That’s where your destiny lies.
SCRIPTURE READING: PROVERBS 18:16 A person’s gift opens doors for him, bringing him access to important people.
Dear God, thank you for your gifts in my life. Give me the grace to nurture, protect and work your gifts to bring your blessings to my life. I choose wisdom and your leading to fulfil your purpose. May what you have given me give me what I don’t have. In Jesus’ name. Amen
