God is a generational God and so are His blessings upon us. A generational perspective to finance and prosperity should include family. Starting with the family situation you have right now, you can grow in the grace of God to enjoy a generational blessing that will be extended to your children and their children. The narrow-minded selfish attitude that consumes everything skips the generational blessing. The blessing and good work of God in your life is intended for you and all yours. It starts with you and should spread on to the next generation. Widen your thinking, planning, and execution to include your family. Those that keep their business dealings as secrets from their close families miss the point. Plan with your spouse, children, and parents. Involve the next generation. Empower those that are coming after you. Engage your family to enjoy a generational blessing.
God is glad to be called the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. One generation after the other. An eternal God will surely look beyond fifty years. Most stable long-term businesses in the world are run from a family and generational point of view. The large conglomerates around the world are mostly family and generational in nature. While many hustlers are trying to get things done, we see stable businesses that have been passed on through the years. As you hustle to acquire your first home, let that not be the case with your children. Make enough wealth for the next generation that your challenges will end with you. Give them a glorious inheritance. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
SCRIPTURE READING: Proverbs 13:22 A good man leaves an inheritance for his children’s children, but the sinner’s wealth is laid up for the righteous.
DEDICATION PRAYER Dear God, thank you for goodness and grace. Open the eyes of my heart to envision life near and far. May I look into the distant future and prepare a blessing for the next generation. Grant me a long-term perspective to prosperity so I can leave a glorious heritage for my children and their children in Jesus’ name. Amen.
