Talking about good money habits starts with financial planning. I am talking about deliberately laying a strategy for your money. If you wanted to build a house, the place to start would be commissioning an architect of sorts to come up with blue prints for the job at hand. You can then come up with bills of quantity, cost implications, fundraising and all that. The plan however is the point of departure. I believe everyone alive should have some sort of financial plan. This should be your inspiration, your guide and your strategy. Looking at your plan for the short, medium or long term is a great way to get going in the right direction. Those that don’t have a financial plan generally just go with the spur of the moment doing what seems best in that situation. Discipline yourself financially by planning for your finances.
Your financial planning should include budgeting, projecting, planning, saving, investing, spending and all that. What are your priorities at the moment? Where do you want to be in the near future? What about the distant future? What kind of finance do you want to command ten years from now? What can you do today that will position you for that future you envision? I believe you are capable of commanding multi millions. Simply dedicate yourself to a proven process of good financial planning and you will be on your way. Don’t relegate yourself to the sidelines. You are in the middle of the game, right where you want to be. Now execute the proper game plan and you will surprise the doubters around. It is a glorious, beautiful and good habit for you to execute a good financial plan. Try it and you will not regret the decision.
SCRIPTURE READING: PROVERBS 24:3-5
By wisdom a house is built; it is made secure through understanding. By knowledge its rooms are furnished with all sorts of expensive and beautiful goods. A wise man is strong, and a knowledgeable man grows in strength.
Dear God, grant me the discipline to plan and strategically follow your leading. May I look at my finances from the bigger perspective. May I order my life according to a long term financial plan that you will take me from glory to glory. In Jesus’ name. Amen
