Prayer in most cases is an individual thing but there are times it becomes a team sport. I am talking about the blessing, strength and joy of praying with someone else. The beautiful game of football is between two teams each having 11 players. Each individual specializes in a particular task. They then give it all their strength to get the job done. Together they do much more than they would when alone. Certain things are achieved due to this team’s nature in regard to the sport. The team that plays together will eventually win the game. Individual players on the team can do some good stuff but it’s all worthless if they don’t play as a team.
Jesus boldly encouraged His disciples to work in teams. The Bible encourages us to do spiritual things together. The power of prayer is amplified when we pray with others. Whatever situation you have been praying about alone will be severely dealt with when handled in prayer with someone else. Your faith, strength, passion and power is amplified when you pray with others. Don’t just pray alone. Stand with someone else and together pray that matter through. The devil is afraid of that power in united prayer. The unity commands the blessing of God. The sense of oneness releases the victory of the Lord. Don’t just do prayer alone. Find a prayer partner and stand strong together.
SCRIPTURE READING: MATHEW 18:18-20
Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Dear God, I believe your word is true. Give me someone that will stand with me in prayer. Empower me to be a strong prayer partner with someone else. So make me that strong individual that will stand with your people in the kingdom. May I stand strong to serve and do your goodwill in Jesus’ Name. Amen
