The power of God is the greatest power on earth. That power is released into the life of the believer when they are filled with the Holy Ghost. Imagine taking the power that created the universe and packing it into a human being. I am talking about unlimited power compressed into a jar of clay. That is the infilling of the Holy Spirit. Praying in tongues is part of the release of that power. Imagine the modern life you lead because you are connected to the power grid in your community. Your lights, refrigerator, microwave, television and smartphone are all operating because of that power. Now think about living one week without access to that power. Unthinkable! Lighting would be hard, keeping fresh food impossible, the quick cook in your microwave forgone, the information, entertainment and communication through your television and smartphone all impossible. Can you live that kind of life? Probably not.
Now come back to the spirit realm and understand that praying in the spirit is the power source for your spiritual life. It’s the power that flows through the walls of your spiritual house and enables you to do all things spiritual. You are very capable of doing great and glorious things in the spirit if you have the power flowing through your veins. Praying in tongues releases the power of God through every facet of your life. Whatever you do, don’t go a day off the grid. Stay plugged in and allow the power of God to keep flowing in and through you. Prayer can be limited, boring and dead if not empowered by the Spirit of God. Don’t pray in your own strength. Pray by the power of God. Praying in tongues keeps that power of God flowing in you. One hour praying in the power of God is far better than ten years of dead lifeless prayer. Keep the lights on by praying in the spirit today and if you are not connected to the grid, don’t worry, He is as close as the mention of His name. Seek to get locked into God by the Holy Ghost.

So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, ‘Says the LORD of hosts.

Loving Father, thank you for your marvelous power. Teach me to pray by your power and not by my own strength. Grant me your power that enables me to do all things spiritually for your glorification in Jesus Name. Amen.
