Imagine a big crook pot filled with your favourite broth. I am talking about that wonderful soup filled with every good thing slowly cooking for hours. I enjoyed such a treat in South Carolina when a friend made me his award-winning deer broth. After 12 hours of slow cooking, it was ready to serve. He pulled out a big serving spoon and stirred the soup up for a good two minutes. His simple explanation was that he wanted to make sure everything that had settled at the bottom was served in every bowl. So he first stirred it up before every serving. That deer broth was the best thing that had ever happened to my tongue.
I am talking about the gifts of God inside your spirit being stirred up into manifestation. Praying in tongues is the big serving spoon that is used to stir up your spirit and the gifts of God inside you. God has placed many wonderful spiritual gifts inside you that will lay dormant until you stir them up. As you pray in the spirit, those gifts are brought to the surface. Praying in tongues is considered a gateway gift that will take you to many other gifts, just like the main entrance to your house will lead to many other rooms inside that house. Stir up the grace of God inside you every day praying in the spirit.
SCRIPTURE READING: JUDE 1:20-21
But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.
Dear God, thank you for the many wonderful gifts inside my spirit. I ask that you activate those gift for your glory. Stir up those gifts to bless the saints and change the world. I engage praying in the spirit and stir up that which you have placed inside me in Jesus’ Name. Amen
