Daily Devotion

The world has many things we don’t understand yet. There are things that will be revealed with time as life progresses. Imagine describing a smartphone to someone who lived on the planet 200 years ago. The concepts would be utter mysteries to that mind. Your limited mind will always struggle to understand an infinite God hence the mystery. Now comprehend the fact that God will want the limited mind to participate in ushering onto the planet these mysteries. Enter the level of declaring mysteries. A prophet describing the smartphone 200 years ago would really be a declaration of things that only God would understand.
Praying in tongues is a release of mysteries. This is praying into being things we don’t understand yet. Thankfully God understands all and uses man to speak into being things that man can’t comprehend as yet. This is the glorious beauty of praying in tongues. You command into being things that you don’t know in your mind yet but have been placed into your spirit. The natural mind is not impressed but the spirit world is absolutely motivated and released by that grace. Don’t go a day without declaring the mysteries that God has in store for you and the world. You may not know it yet, but your tongues may be going into your future releasing protection and provision for your children whom you have not yet had.

SCRIPTURE READING 1 Corinthians 14:2
For one who speaks in a tongue speaks not to men but to God; for no one understands him, but he utters mysteries in the Spirit.

Dear God, I surrender my limited mind to your unlimited power to work through me as you release that will you have predestined for me. I refuse to be limited by my little mind and experience as I walk with you, an unlimited God. So I declare mysteries by your spirit for your glory in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
