There was a Syrian siege on Samaria and the city begun to starve. No one could go in or out so all their supplies run out. The price of food was sky high and people could hardly afford it. Mothers began to eat their children as survival was that hard. The prophet Elisha prophesied to the city declaring that there would be a turnaround in twenty-four hours. He specifically said the food would be so cheap it was unbelievable. One of the king’s men questioned the ability of God to turn it around that fast. The prophet promptly told him that he would see it but not live long enough to enjoy it. That night God used four lepers to terrify the Syrians who fled leaving tons of food and valuables. In the morning Samaria had more food than they needed and the price hit the floor. That doubting official saw it happen but was killed on the same morning in a stampede that followed.
Many times we limit God in our faith. We feel like this is possible but that is just over the top. We feel like God can bless us this way and only this way. We kind of put God in a box and restrict His ability. But let me remind us that God’s ability is far beyond human comprehension. The God who created the universe by the word of His power is able to reach out into the furthest galaxy. Nothing is too difficult for Him. So the call today is for you to take the limits off God. Expand your horizons and expectations. Nothing is too difficult for God. No mountain is too high. No valley too low. No miracle too hard. No sickness too grave. No need is too big and no challenge is too challenging. Take the limits off God in your mind, your prayers and your expectations. Expect the impossible because you serve a God who daily simplifies the impossible and makes what was absolutely impossible a daily reality.
The elevate anointing is going to quicken your unleashing so that what you thought was way out there will be within your grasp as you see the hand of God unlimited in your situation. Even in death, God is still able to do the impossible. Take the limits off your God and you will be super blessed.
SCRIPTURE READING:2 Kings 7:1-20 Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the Lord; Thus saith the Lord, Tomorrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria. Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof. And there were four leprous men at the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die? If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit still here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die. And they rose up in the twilight, to go into the camp of the Syrians: and when they were come to the uttermost part of the camp of Syria, behold, there was no man there. For the Lord had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us.
DEVOTION PRAYER: Father, I choose to believe in your wondrous power. As I dive into the elevate anointing may I fully understand that nothing is impossible with you. Grant me the grace to walk in the impossibility in Jesus’ name. Amen
