We all tried to resist the smartphone for as long as possible. Some thought it’s too complicated. Others thought they didn’t need one. While others thought it’s just too expensive. The explanations varied from “I can do my emails on a computer”, “I already have a calendar and a camera” to “I just want a phone that makes calls”. The honest truth is that people take time to embrace now. The smartphone was the dawn of a new era. Gone are the days when you have to wait until you are at your office to do your work. You also don’t have to wait until you are home to enjoy some entertainment. The smartphone has literary taken over every facet of your life. From connecting with friends to shopping, entertainment, music, worship, prayer, even hearing God. It’s all through the smartphone. Chances are, you are reading this piece on a smart device. The world has finally embraced the smartphone.
In a similar way, we need to embrace our now. What are the things the Lord is doing in your life today? Yes, He did something yesteryear but what is the now thing from God in your life today? God has a specific work for your life today. Stop coming up with excuses and embrace the work of the Lord in your life today. Get into your thing from God. I am not talking about joining a click or a church. I am talking about embracing that special thing the Lord is doing in your life today. Chances are it is different from what your peers are up to. There is a beautiful now for you today. Stop hiding, explaining and running. God is making a billionaire out of you right now. Embrace it. God is making you an entrepreneur right now. God is making a doctor, a preacher, a lawyer or even a mother of you in this season. Embrace your NOW.
SCRIPTURE READING: ECCLESIASTES 3:1-8
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
Heavenly Father, am grateful for embracing my moment. I refuse to live a life of excuses and sluggishness. I choose to walk in the Now moments where all things work out for me. I now embrace that special thing that you’re working in my life in Jesus’ Name. Amen
