The 2016 NBA finals in America was a definitive basketball season. Stephen Curry and the Warriors were taken all the way to game seven by Lebron James and the Cavaliers. They had worked all season long to get home court advantage on the tail end of the best regular season in history. The Cavs beat the odds and snatched the championship. This was a missed moment that should have never been. So the Warriors decided to add more power to their vault by acquiring Kevin Durant, a force of nature. They went back to the finals facing the same Cavs and this time won the series in five games. In 2018 they beat the Cavs in four games. Obviously, Kevin Durant was the difference in all these championships. The Warriors acquired Kevin Durant so they wouldn’t have to miss their moment again. They wanted to maximize the moment and make it count when it mattered most.
When “Now” presents itself, you should grab it with both hands. The opportunities that come your way should be seized without mercy. There comes a time when you must be ruthless with your possibilities. What now gives you may never come back your way. The things you miss out at that moment, may never truly come back to you. Failing to make the most of your moment is a catastrophic costly calamity. You must maximize the now that you have. Get the degree now that you have a chance. Build that house now that you have some money. Buy that property now that the opportunity has come. Serve God with all your heart now that you have the chance and the time. Don’t let your chances go begging. Make the most of every moment. This is your moment. You have the chance to make a real difference in your situation. You are well positioned to change your situation forever. This is your season. This is your day. Maximise your NOW right now.

Then Jesus said to them, “A little while longer the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you; he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going.

Dear God, I choose to make the best of every moment. I decree swiftness, focus, and dedication in everything I set my mind on. Grant me the grace to be confident and diligent in all things so as to maximize my now moment in Jesus’ Name. Amen
