An elevator is moved by a series of cables that work their way up and down the shaft enabling the starting and stopping of the elevator. Without those cables, that elevator would be motionless. The stretching of those cables is key to the life of the elevator, which is why engineers pay close attention to these cables, their tension and ability to stretch.
We must learn to stretch ourselves and grow through the process of life. Don’t get satisfied and content with where you are. Get moving and stretch yourself to the next level and beyond. This elevation season is a great time for you to evaluate yourself and take note of the areas you have become relaxed and eased off the tension. Look at the areas that need to be improved and commit yourself to working with God to get going. Test the boundaries you know by stretching to new dimensions.
Stretching is never comfortable. There is tension, pressure, pain and challenge. It demands that you dig deeper and do more than you have ever done. It requires going beyond the routine and business as usual. It takes throwing out the usual script and trusting God to give you a new one. Stretching doesn’t end with pain but takes you all the way to the pleasure as you realise that all the pressure has been for your progress. So Stretch your self today. In prayer, giving, service, faith and love, Stretch.
SCRIPTURE READING: Isaiah 54:1-5
“Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities.
Loving Father, Am grateful for the grace to Stretch. I choose to Stretch in my giving, service, faith and love. I am persuaded that in this season of Elevation am going to stretch myself in Jesus Name. I believe that you’re working a greater elevation in me. Hallelujah! Amen.
