Worship should be a regular part of our life. I am talking about worshiping God for all He is and what He has done in your life. Not just in a congregational setting but especially in private. Let your life perpetually overflow into worship. Put time aside to tell God of His wonders and blessings in your life. Forget your deadlines, targets and objectives. Turn your attention to God and lavish Him with your adoration, worship and admiration. Let your life give to God a daily dose of your worship. Intimacy with God is achieved in worship. Song is a part of it. So is reverence and adoration in words, attitude and lifestyle.
Nothing will lift you better than those moments when you are lifting God up in your worship. The elevation of God will always find you at the place of worship, taking you to heights and dimensions you can only imagine. Lifting God lifts you too. Don’t focus on how big your problems may seem but rather on how big your God is. Worship is placing all the focus onto God. The elevator serves to lift you up. So does worship. It will take you to heights far beyond any challenge, obstacle or problem. Worship is actually the only thing that we can truly give to God. All the rest that we do give Him stay right here on earth. Worship is eternal.
SCRIPTURE READING: LUKE 19:11-17
While the people were listening to this, Jesus continued and told them a parable. He was now almost at Jerusalem, and they supposed that the Kingdom of God was just about to appear. So he said, “There was once a man of high rank who was going to a country far away to be made king, after which he planned to come back home. Before he left, he called his ten servants and gave them each a gold coin and told them, ‘See what you can earn with this while I am gone.’ Now, his own people hated him, and so they sent messengers after him to say, ‘We don’t want this man to be our king.’
“The man was made king and came back. At once he ordered his servants to appear before him, in order to find out how much they had earned. The first one came and said, ‘Sir, I have earned ten gold coins with the one you gave me.’ ‘Well done,’ he said; ‘you are a good servant! Since you were faithful in small matters, I will put you in charge of ten cities.’
DEVOTION PRAYER: Heavenly father, my hallelujah belongs to you. I thank you because my business, family, and property worship you. The elevator has taken me to heights far beyond any challenge and obstacle. May I continue to live in this life of worship all the days of my life in Jesus’ Name . Amen
