SAVED TO SERVE

Salvation is the beginning of a new life in Christ. The old is passed away and new life is upon you. This new life is captured in ministry and service to God. It is not enough for one to be born again. They must also step into service to the Lord. Salvation without ministry condemns one to slow growth and progress in the Lord. Ministry is the melting pot where you are broken, melted and moulded into the image of God.

Don’t be content at the salvation level. Press into the ministry level so you can grow as you serve. Get involved in serving the Lord. Look for opportunities to serve. Re-organize your schedule to accommodate ministry. Jump at the chances you get to be of service in the kingdom.

SCRIPTURE READING: Psalm 100:1-5

Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing.
Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.

DEVOTION PRAYER:

Dear Father, I thank you because I have been saved to serve. Grant me the grace to step into ministry so that I can serve you. For I believe ministry is the melting pot where I am broken and moulded in Jesus’ Name. Amen
