A national soccer team is a collection of talented individuals from different back grounds, families, professional clubs and educational levels, all capable of playing the beautiful game. The very fact that they are on the team means they believe in their capacity, they work on their game and they are serious about it as a career and destiny. The team manager calls them onto the national team for a specific reason. He puts their names onto the squad meaning they have been called for national duty. The greatest honour for any sportsman is to represent their nation with honour and bring home the coveted prize.

I am talking about the call of God on your life. He has not only formed and equipped you but He also calls you onto the God team for the season of your life. There is an outstanding role the Lord has for you on His team. He calls you regardless of your limitations and background. You are an important part of the team. Now you can refuse the call for whatever reason but make no mistake it is the greatest honour in life. To be called by God. Accepting the call of God is a step of faith. You come to terms with the fact that you have to live for something greater than yourself. Your name has come up and you have been called for kingdom duties.

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Dear God, I thank you for the honour of calling me to the God team. It’s a privilege that am living for something greater than myself. I accept the call on my life. I accept to live and work for you as long as I live in Jesus’ name. Amen.
