I remember going to this fancy restaurant in Kampala and it was crowded. Everyone wanted to get in and enjoy their good food. We were promptly asked if we had a reservation, which we didn’t. We therefore had to wait for a table to free up. We could see a few available tables and kept wondering why they wouldn’t let us onto them. Meanwhile another party came through the doors and when asked if they had a reservation the answer was affirmative. One of those vacant table was waiting for them. They were seated and got on with their dinner in no time. That table had been reserved, consecrated, put to the side and kept away from everyone else just for this party.
I am talking about God consecrating you. You have been placed aside for a special work. You are not about business as usual. Everything and everyone wants a piece of you but you understand you have been placed aside for a special purpose. You are shielded from the daily worldly grind, reserved for someone special that you may serve. You are exempt from the chaos, the troubles and headaches because you are set apart for the service of God. Accept your consecration to serve the Lord and live for Him and His purpose.
SCRIPTURE READING: Psalm 4:3
But know that the Lord has set apart for Himself him who is godly; The Lord will hear when I call to Him.
Dear Gracious God, thank you for consecrating and placing me aside for special work. I am grateful that am exempted from the chaos, the troubles and headaches. I accept to serve you and live for your purpose Jesus. Amen.
