ANOINTED

The story is told many times of the guy who bought a beautiful car for His wife. The thing was performing well and his wife was very happy. It looked good, worked good and made her look good for over a year. Up until it stopped working right on the highway. Apparently it had an engine knock as she was driving to work. As it turns out, she had not serviced the car for the whole year. Her husband had neglected to take care of it too so it couldn’t serve her after a while.

I am talking about God saving you so you can serve Him. You service your car so it can keep serving you. If your car doesn’t serve you, chances are you will not keep servicing it. Every time you change your engine oil you are given a specific number of miles you can safely do with your car. It means your car is able to deliver those miles without any trouble. The oil in the engine lubricates it for further service.

You have been called, consecrated, appointed and anointed to serve the Lord. The anointing of God on your life is the ability of God enabling you to get the job done. You are well able to do what God has called you to do by walking in the anointing. The anointing of God is not for you to feel good and have a great time. The anointing is for a purpose. It’s the ability of God in your life to elevate you to levels of doing His will. You are anointed so get on with your God-given purpose.

SCRIPTURE READING: Isaiah 10:27

It shall come to pass in that day, that his burden will be taken away from your shoulder
And his yoke from your neck, and the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.

DEVOTION PRAYER:

Dear God, thank you for the anointing you have placed on my life. I promise to use it the right way. I will not let the anointing draw me off the course in Jesus’ Name. Amen
