The most natural fruit for any believer should be soul winning. The joy, blessing and excitement of having God forgive your sin and declare you a saint should have you going. No wonder the gospel is called the good news. The very fact that you have assurance of salvation, confidence that if you departed the earth today your destiny would be heaven, ought to wind you up. What God has done in your life is really the impetus for you to share with all you come across. Good news means you can’t help but tell the news because it just itches to come out of you.
Andrew in the book of Mathew was such a man. He heard enough of Christ that he couldn’t help but bring others to the Lord. Make each day count for souls in the kingdom. Don’t let a day go without you sharing with someone what God has done in you. When you tell of the goodness of God in your life, those that hear can’t help but desire to taste the Lord as well. Bear the fruit of winning souls. There is no better role for man on the earth.
SCRIPTURE READING: John 1:40-42
One of the two who heard John [speak,] and followed Him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which is translated, the Christ). And he brought him to Jesus. Now when Jesus looked at him, He said, “You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas” (which is translated, A Stone).
DEVOTION PRAYER: Dear God, I thank you for the grace to win souls. May I make each day count for souls in the kingdom. I choose to bear the fruit of winning souls in Jesus’ name. Amen
