To those who crucified Jesus, killing Him meant they had finally done away with Him. They thought death could contain Him but they couldn’t be further from the truth. In His own words, Jesus said, “Unless a seed falls to the ground and dies, it remains alone.” Jesus was like a seed when He died, He brought forth what is now called the Church. The early church became the new “Jesus” because they did what Jesus had been doing, they continued healing the sick, cleansing the lepers, raising the dead and preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God.
Today the church is still here and Jesus is still working through her. We as Christians, are the Body of Christ; We are extending His Kingdom to our places of work and homes. We are His eyes, feet, hands and many other parts, in our places of influence. The church is what came out of the ground when the seed called Jesus was planted. Are you born again?
John 14:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.
Father in Heaven, thank you for making me a vessel through which the work that was first started in Jesus could continue in the area of my influence. Help me continue being the body of Jesus wherever I find myself. Let me preach the gospel of the Kingdom starting today to the rest of the days that I have on earth in Jesus name I pray, Amen.
