CALLED ON A MISSION

For many Christians, salvation was a means to escape hell fire. Although it is true that whoever receives Jesus has passed from death to life, it also remains true that we have not just been saved to go to heaven. If that was the case, upon receiving Jesus, one would immediately die and go to be with the Lord but since we have kept living after accepting Jesus, there is still some work to be done by God through us.

God has a vision in which you fit so well. You have a mission while on earth. One writer said you have been called according to God’s purpose. You are on a mission, you are on call and you are a soldier on duty. Your commander in chief is God the creator of the universe. Be sure to receive today’s instruction while on this mission, I salute you, Soldier.

SCRIPTURE READING:
2 Timothy 2:4 No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer.

DEVOTION PRAYER:
Dear heavenly father, I thank you for choosing me to be a part of what you are doing in the world. I pray that I will not stray from what you called me to do but will at all times keep my focus on the mission. What do you want me to do today, this week, this month or even this year?
