Daily Devotion

Although He spent a good amount of time in temples, Jesus also preached outside conventional churches. He went into market places, sports arenas, tourism reserves and wherever else He could find people. He still does the same today through us. Where Jesus meets you is very important because He lights you up to become the light right there and beyond.

Like a soldier, you have been deployed at your workplace, in your family and your entire network of people who will never hear Jesus as effectively and powerfully as from you. Take up your tools therefore and shine the light in the place of your deployment. Turn it up, Arise and shine for your time has come.

SCRIPTURE READING: Matthew 5:14-16
“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

My father in heaven, thank you for sending me in your name to shine your light to my world. Help me reflect only your light, not my thoughts but your light, not my experience but your light and not my intellect but your light to my entire world. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
