I love weddings like most people do. A times when people choose each other is because they are in love. Out of the multitude the couple has chosen that one individual to love and to hold, to treasure and to cherish. The vows they exchange are till death, through it all, regardless of, to love, to hold and to still choose each other. The groom chooses his bride out of the many. He refuses the rest because he is settled on her and his choice is unwavering, she is the one.
I am talking about God choosing you. Your salvation is because you are chosen by God. Many are perishing in sin and wickedness but He has chosen you. Not everyone submits to the grace of God, but you are chosen. Out of the millions on the planet today, God has chosen you. Yes you may feel like you chose God but before you even came into existence, He chose you. You did not save yourself. You did not die for your sins. God loved you even before you were formed in your mother’s womb and He chose you.
SCRIPTURE READING: JEREMIAH 1:4-5
Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you
and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
Dear God, I’m grateful for choosing me before I came into existence. Thank you for saving me and calling me your own. May I continue living with the ultimate understanding that I am the chosen of God in Jesus’ name Amen
