Jesus has given you one of the greatest gifts ever given to humanity, forgiveness. Sin separates man from God and from each other. It is much easier to wash your body clean than to wash sin from your conscience. Many live each day guilty of their sins, recent and ancient. This makes them feel unworthy and incapable at all times. Always repenting but never getting cleansed. Always limited and defined by sin.
But in Christ you are forgiven. As far as the east is from the west, so has God taken your sin far from you. Jesus carried in His own body all your sins, past, present and future. You are liberated from the power of sin. You are no longer a captive to sin. The grace of God empowers you to live beyond your limitations; you are forgiven. Imagine having a large pending payment on your house and knowing you will never be able to make it. The deadlines come and go and now you are at the end of the end. Then out of nowhere someone makes that payment on your behalf. The debt is cleared and you are given your title deed. The forgiveness of God is far greater than that. Your failure is no longer counted on your head. You are exonerated by God. You are forgiven!

DEVOTION PRAYER: Heavenly Father am grateful because I am no longer a slave to sin. Thank you for paying the ultimate price on the cross. May I continue to live beyond my limitations in Jesus’ name, Amen.
