Walking through life without guidance is frustrating. Many mistakes are made and a lot can be lost. Yet with the Lord we can get instant guidance that will take us to the proper destination without all the trouble and heartache. Hearing God on a daily basis will ensure you are on the right path in life. It begins in the word, prayer and worship. Put time aside for God every day. Preferably at the start of your day. This time should be spent in the word of God, prayer and worship. This will be the foundation of your spiritual life.
Through the Bible you will get guidance and in prayer God will continue to reveal His purposes for you. Learn to hear His voice above all the noise out there. Zero into that still small voice that is above all that chatter around you. Learn to get away from all the chaos so you can settle down and hear God. While you are on the move, learn to mute the many voices out there that don’t matter and amplify the voice of God in your situation. Now you are ready for heavens downloads.
SCRIPTURE READING: 1 Kings 19:9-12
And there he went into a cave, and spent the night in that place; and behold, the word of the Lord came to him, and He said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” So he said, “I have been very zealous for the Lord God of hosts; for the children of Israel have forsaken your covenant, torn down your altars, and killed your prophets with the sword. I alone am left; and they seek to take my life.” Then He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.
Devotion prayer: Loving Father, open my ears to hear your guidance on a daily basis. Grant me the grace to start each day in your word, prayer and worship. Enable me to zero into that still small voice that is above all that chatter around me in Jesus’ name, Amen.
