DRAW ON GOD’S POWER

We all have limits to our ability, faith and desires. These limits define us and determine how far we are willing to go. The strength and power of a man sets the boundaries of their exploits. Yet the power of God is far beyond that of man. God starts where man ends. For the believer, that power of God is available to quicken and empower them for a victorious life. How do you draw on that power?

It all starts with prayer. A prayer-less man is a power-less man. Daily time of prayer is daily time of power. Take the time to recharge your spirit in prayer. Learn the limits of man and the place where God takes over. Go beyond the realm of your ability into that of the ability of God. Depend on the wisdom and power of God to get the job done. It is not enough for you to do what you are capable of doing. Stretch your faith! Believe God for the impossible. The power of God will be manifest through the working of the Holy Spirit in your life. Have you reached your wits end? Now the power of God is ready to come through.

SCRIPTURE READING: 1 Corinthians 2:1-5

And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

Devotion Prayer: Dear God, I thank you for your power that is far beyond that of man. I believe that power is available to quicken and empower me for a victorious life. I choose to stretch my faith and believe You for the impossible in Jesus’ name, Amen.
