Nothing spells victory like joy. Imagine you are watching your favourite sports team on the largest stage in the world. They have a chance to win the highest accolade in their discipline and you are right there to witness the feat. The time counts down and your team is declared the winner. Now imagine the joy that would flood your heart. Imagine the shout of victory. Imagine the thunderous rejoicing across the arena. Now reverse the events in your mind but keep the joy in your heart. Before the event occurs most fans are filled with fear and anxiety. But the believer should be filled with anticipation and joy.
Your life should be filled with joy and great rejoicing in the Lord. Don’t be caught up with fear and doubt but release your faith and anticipation. You are well aware of the victory you have in the Lord by faith. Jesus boldly declared “it is finished” on the cross of Calvary. Now you have joy because you know that the current battle was already won by the Lord two thousand years ago. The release of your joy and rejoicing is a release of your faith in God. Sadness is not a release of faith neither is anxiety. Rejoicing is a manifestation of victory. Live each day in the joy of the Lord knowing that with your joy, you access the victory that’s already given in the Lord.
SCRIPTURE READING: Isaiah 12:3
Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.
Devotion Prayer: Father, I praise you for triumphing in you. I am more than a conqueror and I live rejoicing everyday knowing am on the winning side. Nothing can take away the joy I have in you Jesus. Hallelujah!
