Sin is a joy thief. Every time people fall short of the glory of God their joy goes too. Joy is a result of the divine connection. Sin severs that divine connection and the joy is lost as a result. The wicked have not joy but only happiness which is a temporal result of a happening. Sin takes people far from the Lord and their source of joy. Your conscience releases joy and keeps your heart connected with the Lord and your joy flowing.
The Lord has cleansed you from the guilt of sin by breaking the power of sin off you. You therefore don’t live limited by the power of sin because sin has no power over you. The grace of God has enabled you to overcome sin and live beyond the grip of failing God. Now you live aware of the grace of God that empowers you to live in victory over sin. Your joy is intact walking with the Lord because His grace is sufficient for you. Free your mind and spirit from sin and joy will always flow like a river in your life. The strength of God is your ability to overcome all sin at all times.
SCRIPTURE READING: Hebrew 12:1-2
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Devotion Prayer: Father, I’m grateful because I am not limited by the power of sin. Your grace has empowered me to live in victory over sin. May my conscience release joy and keep my heart connected unto God in Jesus’ name. Amen.
