Neighbors are close-by at all times. We may not interact with them often but they are always there. Those that are blessed with good ones enjoy the companionship, the friendship and some even come in handy in times of need. They share the good times, the challenging times, the growing pangs as well as the fun times. Nothing beats good neighbors through the years.
God so loved the world that He decided to move into our neighborhood. He is not too far to hear, see or participate. He is so close at all times, as the neighbor that’s moved in. Distance is not an issue, neither is time, language, nor sin. Jesus is His name, He is among us and He is as close as the mention of His name. Don’t forget to make the most of His presence. Talk to Him always. Call on His name when in need. Draw on His love, strength, wisdom and counsel. He is right there with you so don’t ignore Him.
SCRIPTURE READING: John 1:1-7
In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In him was life and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in darkness and the darkness, did not comprehend it. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe.
DEVOTION PRAYER: Lord Jesus, worthy is your name who is inside me. Lord now that I know that you’re always with me doing great and mighty things I yield to your presence. Cause me to do more, stretch me to do your will. Father with you as my closest and genuine neighbor, am assured of strength, blessings, protection and your great love. Amen.
