From the eternal past right through the eternal future we see God as a savior and deliverer of His people. The God of the bible is always in the business of getting His people out of the place of being downtrodden into a place of being over-comers and yes more than conquerors. Many times the odds are against Gods people. I can imagine Moses and the Israelites being pursued by Pharaoh and his army on one side then on the other side they are surrounded by the red sea. Surely none of these are an easy option to choose. But God in His wisdom and might chose the harder option. Humanly speaking one would think Moses would put together a team of good negotiators. There are times for negotiations but not this time round. Oppressors always need a deliverer not a negotiator.
Who can deliver like Jehovah? He parted the Red Sea and enabled His people to cross through on dry land but when the Egyptian army tried to do so they sunk with their chariots. That is the same God who has promised to deliver all who call upon His Name in faith. No situation is beyond God’s ability to touch and save. God always has many more options than we humans do. Let us look to Him for our deliverance and salvation. His deliverance of His people is so that we may praise Him and rejoice in Him.
SCRIPTURE READING: Psalms 65:5 [By] awesome deeds in righteousness You will answer us, O God of our salvation, [You who are] the confidence of all the ends of the earth, And of the far-off seas;
DEVOTION PRAYER: God, Thank you for your power and promise to deliver us your people from everything and situation that is intended to harm us. I submit to your authority and believe that you cause every mountain to be removed and every valley to be levelled in the Name of Jesus. Amen
