IMPACT OF GOD’S VISITATION

We have all seen dignitaries visit a place and leave it all changed. One of these was the Common Wealth Heads of Government Meeting that was hosted by Uganda. In light of the same meeting that was to host among several heads of states her Majesty the Queen of England, there were many positive changes in the nation. Roads had to be redone, green spaces increased, hotels built all for the sake of the visitation of the Queen and other heads of states not forgetting their entourages. When the event started the economy was boosted because the great number of visitors bought goods and services. In the same way but on a higher scale when God visits the earth and His people there are definitely changes in a positive sense.

When God visits the earth He saturates it with water; a symbol of His Word. He is not talking about a drizzle or a few drops. He is talking about saturation. It sounds like filling to a place of overflowing. He goes ahead to greatly enrich the earth and His people. When God visited David’s household after he killed Goliath, He blessed them to the extent that they were exempted from taxation. They were so wealthy that they could singlehandedly as a family fund the building of the temple. We should always be reminded that we serve a God that is not just self sufficient but All Sufficient. He is able to bless all His children and people. He does not need to take from some of His children to bless the others.

SCRIPTURE READING: Psalms 65:9 You visit the earth and water it, You greatly enrich it; The river of God is full of water; You provide their grain, For so You have prepared it.

DEVOTION PRAYER:  Heavenly Father, Thank you for your visitation to us as your children. We open up our hearts to receive the blessings of your visitation in Jesus Name, Amen
