Trusting in the Lord is about believing Him to do what He has promised to do. It is also leaning on Him or depending on Him. It is also being confident that He will show up and take care of what we have entrusted unto Him. After we have trusted God, we need to do good. This is not meant to act as a way of bribing God. It is simply obeying Him. It is like the child who takes care of what the parent has instructed them to. They will always have good things coming their way from the parent. Not in a way of having bribed the parent but as a way of rewarding their compliance. The same is true with God our Father. That is why David the psalmist said as we trust in the Lord and do good we shall dwell in the land and feed surely on God’s faithfulness.
Have you been doing good, obeying God but it seemed like nothing is coming your way so far? Do not be in a hurry to hang in the gloves. Trust God to keep His side of the bargain because He always does. Keep doing good and obey God’s instructions. Harvesting time is on its way and you sure will be glad you kept sowing.
SCRIPTURE READING: Psalms 37:3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
