In life people are assigned responsibilities according to their abilities and competences. The person who knows how to fix cars is given the work of motor vehicle mechanics. The one that understands medical work is given that of taking care of the sick. The one with engineering expertise is given that work in that area. When the work is assigned it is committed to that person. In a sense it is expected of them to take care of that task.
The Bible encourages us to commit our way to the Lord. This literary means giving up our way and entrusting it into His care. Allowing Him to take the wheels of the bus. We all know that once the wheels are in the hands of a very good driver we are assured of safe arrival to our destination. The promise to those who commit their ways to the Lord is that God will bring it to pass. There is fulfilment in life for those people. May you see God bring your way coming to pass as you continually commit it to Him and into His care.
SCRIPTURE READING: Psalms 37:5 Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring [it] to pass.
DEVOTION PRAYER: Dear Lord, I commit my way unto You. I know that You know the way and are able to bring me wherever you have planned for me to get to in Jesus Name, Amen.
