We live in a world that knows so little or even appreciates the virtue of patience. When the morning dawns it is like the mad dash is on. As some dash to take children to school, others are dashing to the office. Others are dashing from one place to another. Amidst all of this we must come to terms with the fact that some things will require us to be patient. There is a maturity that will only come through learning to exercise ourselves in the virtue of patience. After we have prayed, fasted, believed, we need to also learn to patiently wait for God. It is like members of a football team. After one has done their part they need to hand over the ball to another and wait it out as that member plays their part. During that time of waiting the attitude of other team members is important.
The same is true with the Lord because after we have done our part of the walk we need to also not only wait on Him but also learn to wait for Him. When we do so He goes ahead of us to deal with whatever needs to be dealt with, to prepare the scene for us to come and enjoy whatever He has in store for us. Sweet victory is what He has prepared for those who not only wait on Him but also learn to wait for Him. Do not lose your patience during the waiting. He will show up and you sure will be glad you did wait for Him. Shalom
SCRIPTURE READING: Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew [their] strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
DEVOTION PRAYER: Dear Lord, Thank you for strength as I wait for You. I praise You because You show up for and on behalf of those who trust in you in Jesus Name, Amen
