At the end of every day, all people go to bed and sleep. Tired and exhausted, the sleep helps to refresh the human body and mind. Given some people don’t sleep as much as they want to but none the less they sleep. Every morning, those that wake up do so feeling better than the previous day. The rested body is ready to go on for several more hours without the need to rest. The new day gives us all a new beginning. We forget yesterday and embark on today with strength and grace to make life happen.
The same is true for the start of a New Year and new season in life. It’s a great opportunity for a new beginning. You can put the past behind you and move on to the future waiting for you. The seasonal changes on the earth give you a new beginning. You can seize that new thing God is giving you or refuse to embrace tomorrow and stay stuck in your past. There is a new life being released for you this New Year. Embrace and enjoy the newness of life today.
SCRIPTURE READING: Isaiah 43:18-19 Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
DEVOTION PRAYER: Heavenly father, I thank you for the grace of new beginnings. I believe there’s a new life being released for me and I choose to embrace it in Jesus’ name. Amen
