Daily Devotion

Many people know how to pray but not as many know how to pray through a matter. Sometimes it’s not enough to pray about an issue and leave it in the hands of God. There is a thing called praying through. I am talking about praying until something happens. Don’t be content to bring it before the Lord. You need to watch it and water it with your prayer until the results are clear. This is not a place for vague, “could be, or if prayers”. You get specific and engage various spiritual principles till the cows come home.

I challenge you to pray specifically about some things in 2019. Get practical and objective as you press in. Engage the various principles that apply to the issues you are praying about and don’t take no for an answer. Elijah prayed for rain and He kept praying until the heavens opened. It took several hours and sometimes it may even take years or decades. Don’t give up and let go of the promises of God. Prayerfully press into the realm of the spirit and command the heavens to release your answer. Pray until something happens!

Many people have set out to write accounts about the events that have been fulfilled among us. They used the eyewitness reports circulating among us from the early disciples. Having carefully investigated everything from the beginning, I also have decided to write a careful account for you, most honorable Theophilus, so you can be certain of the truth of everything you were taught. When Herod was king of Judea, there was a Jewish priest named Zechariah. He was a member of the priestly order of Abijah, and his wife, Elizabeth, was also from the priestly line of Aaron. Zechariah and Elizabeth were righteous in God’s eyes, careful to obey all of the Lord’s commandments and regulations. They had no children because Elizabeth was unable to conceive, and they were both very old. One day Zechariah was serving God in the Temple, for his order was on duty that week.

DEVOTION PRAYER: Heavenly father, this year am specifically praying through my finances, family and ministry. I am getting practical and objective as I press in. I engage the various principles that apply to the issues am praying about. Prayerfully I press into the realm of the spirit to release my answer in Jesus’ name. Amen
