It is important to see what God sees about you. Many people have an idea of what God wants them to do or be, but only vaguely. God usually gives a dream or vision that is impossible to fulfil naturally. If it’s something that you received from God, it will be fulfilled, not by might, not by power but by the Spirit of the Lord.
It is important that you see what God sees in your spirit so that you can properly align yourself with his will and believe properly. Your eyes see a small picture, God’s eyes always see the bigger picture. Abraham was chosen to become the father of many nations. That was his mandate. Yet at some point he still thought his seed was coming from his trusted servant, despite receiving a word from the Lord.
One day God took him outside to look at the stars. God was getting him to understand that the mandate was not a small thing. If Abraham was going to believe God he had to see clearly what God had in mind for him. God was trying to enlarge Abraham’s vision.
It worked because after that the Bible said “Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness”. Seeing what God saw grounded Abraham’s faith. See what God sees about you. God has called you to be great. To be wealthy. To run a big business. To take over nations. To break barriers. Align your vision with God’s vision and believe it!
SCRIPTURE READING: Genesis 15.2-5 But Abram said, ‘Sovereign LORD, what can you give me since I remain childless and the one who will inherit my estate is Eliezer of Damascus?’ And Abram said, ‘You have given me no children; so a servant in my household will be my heir.’ Then the word of the LORD came to him: ‘This man will not be your heir, but a son who is your own flesh and blood will be your heir.’ He took him outside and said, ‘Look up at the sky and count the stars – if indeed you can count them.’ Then he said to him, ‘So shall your offspring be.’
DEVOTION PRAYER: Lord help me to grasp what you see about me. Align my vision with yours. Open my eyes to realize what you see about me. Give me a heavenly revelation of your plans for me. Thank you Lord for your hand upon my life.
