Daily Devotion

I have come across many people who are made to believe that what they are doing is nothing big. I am of the view that everyone has a big assignment on their lives even though it may appear small. Anyway, to those that believe that what they are doing is small, I have always said, “Do that small thing in a big way”. Many people have done big things in a small insignificant way. Serving a big God insinuates that we should do even those things we consider small in a big way.

You may think it a small sermon, but do it in a big way. You may think you are doing the small thing called preparing a meal but do it in a big way, you are feeding a nation. You may be a simple cleaner but the glory of God will be revealed and lives will be changed as thousands walk across that floor you have been cleaning. No assignment is too small or too big. It’s all about the execution we choose to use. If you don’t have a highway make a path so beautiful and glorious that all who see it will say, “This is the world’s best path.” The God nature inside you doesn’t allow you to settle for mediocrity. Reach forth to greatness even when defined among the small.

SCRIPTURE READING: Colossians 1:25-29 God has given me the responsibility of serving his church by proclaiming his entire message to you. This message was kept secret for centuries and generations past, but now it has been revealed to God’s people. For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory. So we tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us. We want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ. That’s why I work and struggle so hard, depending on Christ’s mighty power that works within me.

DEVOTION PRAYER: My God, I carry the understanding that you are in me. I choose to reach out for greatness no matter the cost. I execute great results in the mighty name of Jesus.
