Receiving the grace of God is only the beginning. We are called to walk in the grace of God. There is a threefold nature to grace. Receive the grace, let the grace work in you and let it work through you. As we receive the grace of God, His goodness becomes a part of who we are as we align our lives with His grace. We must also allow that grace to work in us. It transforms you and makes you something you have not been. There is just no way the grace of God can leave you as it found you. It compels you to forsake all wickedness and follow after the righteous ways of God. And finally it works through you to be displayed to others. That grace that has transformed you works through you in the same way it worked in you towards others.
Walking in grace means you receive the grace of God and allow it to work in you to the extent that it works through you. What a gift: Transforming an ordinary individual into the image of God as Christ is revealed in your life. Words can’t fully define the beauty of the grace of God at work in your life as you walk in grace.
SCRIPTURE READING: 2 Corinthians 9:8-9
And God [is] able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all [things,] may have an abundance for every good work. As it is written: [” He has dispersed abroad,] [He has given to the poor;] [His righteousness endures forever.”]
DEVOTION PRAYER: Dear God, teach me to walk in your grace. May I fully comprehend its transformation and goodness towards my life. I acknowledge your this gift upon my life in Jesus name.
