One of the major reasons why so many of God’s children easily give up hope when facing trials and tribulations is because they have not really bothered to develop godly convictions regarding God’s will for their lives. Likewise, there are many believers who have tried to develop these godly convictions but unfortunately, they have given little attention to the need to continually fortify and strengthen those convictions. Generally speaking, it is a lot easier for you to give up hope when you have weak convictions or at worst, when you hardly have any real convictions to speak of; than when you are truly convicted and persuaded by God’s word.
SCRIPTURE REFERENCE: 2 Timothy 3:16-18
Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action), so that the man of God may be complete and proficient well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit; today I receive grace to continue learning from Him, as He faithfully continues to teach and persuade me by your word. In Jesus’ name, Amen
