When you are under godly conviction, you are able to live a life that is truly surrendered to God. No one can truly surrender their lives to God without being truly persuaded that the claims God makes about Himself are true. Likewise, we cannot truly surrender to God unless we are convinced that He has our best interests at heart. Jesus shows us a perfect example of what a surrendered life really is in that while still alive and hanging on the cross, though He felt rejected, lost and abandoned by His heavenly Father; for He cried out saying, “My Father, My Father, why have you forsaken me? Yet with His last breath, and regardless of all the pain, suffering and hopelessness He was experiencing in that moment, He still was able to commit His spirit to God.
SCRIPTURE REFERENCE: Luke 23:46
And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit! And with these words, He expired.
Heavenly Father, I thank you for giving me the grace to truly surrender my heart to you. In Jesus’ name, Amen
