In Exodus 3 When Moses met with God at the burning bush, God commissioned him to go take Israel out of Egypt. The four hundred years of slavery were coming to an end. Moses being reluctant and ignorant said, “What will I say to Pharaoh when he asks me who the God of Israel is?” The answer was one of the most profound statements in the entire Bible. “I am that I am” This has become known as the name of God, but more than just a name, this profound statement is packed with so much about God it could take eternity to unpack.

“I am that I am” means that God is everything that we could ever need. He is healer for the sick. Deliverer to the oppressed. Prosperity to the poor. Strength to the weak. Wisdom to the foolish. Direction to the lost. Peace in the storm and so on. The entire world couldn’t hold the books that unpack the simple statement “I am that I am” You could write for all eternity and still be unravelling the blessings packed in His beautiful name.

I love the fact that He didn’t say “I was that I was” otherwise we would forever be talking about what God did in years gone and reduce the church to a history club. I am also glad He didn’t say “I will be that I will be” or we would never stop talking about the future and the blessings that will come without seeing those blessings ourselves. God is here right now to work in your life today. The great “I am” is on standby to reach forth into your life and super abound in you today. By the time God unpacked the “I am” in Moses and Egypt, the nation of Israel was born and on their way to the Promised Land living on miracles day and night. God is all you will ever need and very present today.

Exodus 3:13-14. Then Moses said to God, “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, “The God of your fathers has sent me to you,” and they say to me, “What is his name?” What shall I say to them?” And God said to Moses,” I AM WHO I AM.” And he said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel. I AM has sent you. “

Lord in heaven, I thank you for you are working in my life right now. I trust in your will and ability to work miracles, signs and wonders for me, I know that you are all I need In Jesus name. Amen
