Water in a desert is refreshing. The desert with all its heat and dehydration means fatigue, frustration and the lack of water would leave you desolate. Your body would feel like it weighed a ton and the very saliva in your mouth so heavy swallowing would be a chore. Now imagine getting a nice refresh drink of water after being stuck in that desert of just two days.
The living water of God is that refreshing to your spirit and soul. Life can be challenging, frustrating, dehydrating and desolate but the Spirit of God will renew and refresh you in those times of great need. You don’t have to live life as one in a spiritual desert. You can access encouragement and refreshment by tapping to the Spirit of God. Your refreshment is instant as long as you tap into the Living water of the Holy Spirit.
SCRIPTURE READING: John 4:10-15
Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.” The woman said to Him, “Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water? Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?” Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” The woman said to Him, “Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw.”
DEVOTION PRAYER: Oh Lord, am grateful for renewing and refreshing my spirit. I choose to always be encouraged and refreshed by you, hallelujah!
