Many people can relate to running out of fuel while on the road. You keep forgetting or procrastinating to fuel up until the vehicle comes to a complete halt. You then realise that you are out of fuel and have to improvise. The quickest thing is push the vehicle off the road, then run off to get some fuel so can get back on the road. Now you can also try to push that vehicle or tow it all the way to your destination but that would be very sweaty, costly and counterproductive.
Going through life presents challenges and obstacles. There are times you run out of strength in your spirit and simply need a fuel refill. Those are the times you come to God for a fresh drink of the Holy Spirit for strength, grace and mercy to help in times of need. Better still, you can anticipate the fuel left in your tank and instead of running out while on the road, schedule a refill at the appropriate time and get to the next level. God is ready to fill you up every time you need help. Don’t wait till you are malfunctioning. Get away from the daily grind to be filled again.
SCRIPTURE READING: Hebrews 4:16
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
DEVOTION PRAYER: Dear God, you are my strength, grace and mercy. Lord you keep refilling me every time I need help. Thank you for quenching my thirst. Hallelujah!
