Daily Devotion


We all have that someone we consider important enough that we would like to meet up with them. National leaders have to manage a full dairy because everyone wants to meet them. Some people book appointments several months and even years in advance just to be in the presence of a president. We go out of our way to have a face to face sit down with the leaders we believe can make a difference in our world.

How about our appointment with God? Can we truly learn the simple fact that God is far beyond any national leader and we need to put time on the side for our face to face with Him? Can we nurture a heart that seeks to spend time alone with the Lord? Forget the drama and the appearances, ignore the worldly drumbeat that ever marches masses away from the Lord and turn your attention to God who matters more far beyond all. Make it a point to seek God. Make time to get away from everything the world offers and set yourself apart just for the Lord. Not to seek what God can do but to be consumed by who God is. Not to seek His hand but to seek His face. The things you desire you will pursue and the things you pursue you will eventually attain.

Lord Jesus in my walk with you may I be a man that seeks your face and not your hand. Instruct me in your ways. Make your covenant known to me in Jesus’ name, Amen.
