Have you ever heard someone say, “I was just thinking about that” when something happened? Or “I knew this would happen”. It simply means they were thinking about what exactly happened. Jesus cautioned His followers about being careful over what they thought. Why did He do so? This is because our thoughts determine what our faith turns out to be. When we read the story of the woman with the issue of blood, the Bible says she thought to herself that once she touched the fringe of Jesus’ clothes she would be healed. The interesting thing is that Jesus didnt even know about her thoughts let alone hear her request to touch His clothes. All she did was think her way into getting her healing. What you think about especially in critical situations is very vital because it determines the outcome. Let your thoughts get in line with God’s Word.
Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy meditate on these things.
Heavenly Father thank you for your Word. Teach me to fashion my thought life according to your Word in Jesus Name, Amen.
