Living life involves dealing with forces that oppose our faith and belief. One of those forces is doubt. Doubt is defined as a feeling of uncertainty or lack of conviction. It is also defined as indecision, hesitation, dubiousness, suspicion or confusion. So when someone is doubtful they are uncertain , lack conviction, undecided, hesitant, dubious, suspicious or confused. Someone who is enveloped by doubt is compared to a boat that is tossed to and fro. Doubt ensures that a person does not have any firm roots or anchor. Surely that’s not what God has called us to live like. He has prepared for us a life that is full of hope, expectation of goodness happening in our lives. From this day forward choose to starve your doubts and feed your faith.
SCRIPTURE READING: James 1:6-8 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; [he is] a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
Heavenly Father, I choose to say no to doubt and live a life of faith as I trust in you in Jesus Name, Amen.
