ANOINTED FOR MINISTRY

God has given His grace, power, anointing and the gifts of the Spirit to the church for a specific purpose. It is not to look good before each other or to enjoy walking in the spirit just for the sake. The Holy Spirit is not given so you can explore spiritual things like a tourist enjoying a new location. The purpose of God in anointing you is that you may do the work of ministry.

A minister is a person that selflessly serves another for the others benefit. Every believer is called to serve God, their church family, their community and their nation. The anointing is given to enable you carry out that service with outstanding results. You don’t fuel your vehicle just to put it away in your beautiful garage. Instead you put that vehicle on the road and fulfil its destiny.

Put your gifts, talents and the anointing of God at work in your life. Be an agent of the kingdom of God and release the life of God through you every day. You have what it takes to make the world a better place by the grace of God. Refuse to be a pond that only receives but never sends forth. Be a river that is always receiving and giving. You are anointed for ministry.

SCRIPTURE READING: EPHESIANS 4:11-13 And He Himself gave some [to be] apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

DEVOTION PRAYER: Dear God, thank you for your anointing that enables me to serve. May I put my gifts at work in my life. Am a river that is always receiving and giving. Amen
