Human nature just loves to conform. People want to look the same, talk the same and do the same things. Families love to dress the same, sound the same and simply do life with a singular perspective. While that has its blessings, there is nothing wrong with being unique and different. Everyone doesn’t have to look and sound like everyone else. God has created each individual with a peculiarity that makes them stand out. The best copy is still less than the original and every original is better than any copy.
Celebrate your uniqueness. Surrender your peculiarity to the Lord for His glory. Allow God to work through the differences you possess. Stop trying to become a cheap copy of some other individual. You possess gifts, talents, abilities and anointing’s that are different. Those are the blessings of God in your life. Your uniqueness is not a liability but an asset in the Lord. You are blessed to be different. Allow the blessed peculiarity you possess to shine through you for the glory of God. Ehud was different from everyone else. It was a blessing for him to be left handed and He used it for the glory of God.
SCRIPTURE READING: 1 Corinthians 12:1-26 There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.
DEVOTION PRAYER: Dear God it’s such a blessing to be different. I possess gifts, talents and anointing’s that are different and I choose to use them for the glorification of Your name. Amen
